Marble Floor Polishing Singapore

One service, done properly: diamond grinding, honing, polishing/crystallization and sealing for marble floors across HDB flats, condos and landed homes.

Diamond Grinding

Where marble has deep scratches, heavy etching, lippage between tiles, or years of built-up wax, we start with coarse-grit diamond discs run on a floor grinding machine. This physically removes the damaged top layer of the stone rather than masking it — the only way to actually get rid of etch marks and deep scratches rather than temporarily hiding them.

Honing

After grinding, we work through progressively finer diamond grits to even out the surface. This is also where you choose your finish: stopping at a mid grit gives a soft, non-reflective "honed" matte look that some homeowners prefer for its lower-maintenance, less-slippery feel; continuing further sets up the surface for a full gloss.

Polishing & Crystallization

For a high-gloss mirror finish, we apply a polishing powder or crystallization compound and buff it into the stone with a floor machine. This is what restores the reflective shine you see in our project photos — genuine mechanical polish, not a temporary coating.

Sealing

A penetrating, breathable sealer is applied as the final step to make the polished surface more resistant to future staining, etching and moisture absorption — important in Singapore's humidity. Sealing slows down future damage; it doesn't replace re-polishing every few years as normal wear occurs, and it doesn't stop etching or scratching either, since those are surface reactions and physical damage a sealer sitting below the surface can't prevent.

A simple way to check if your existing floor needs resealing: drip a small amount of water onto the marble. If it beads up, the seal is still working; if it darkens or soaks in within a few minutes, it's time to reseal. We cover this in more detail, along with how often to reseal in Singapore's climate, in our full sealing guide. If your floor's shine is still fine and it's just the seal that's worn off, we also offer sealing as a standalone maintenance visit, without a full re-grind.

What We Fix

Already polished and just want to keep it that way? See our guide to marble sealing for how often to reseal and how to check it yourself.
